PEACE PATROL
"...to serve and not to be served!"

Objective: This student council initiative aims to....
1. Empower the existing MS student council officers and members to supervise their own peers in terms of implementation of MS rules and routines.
2. Serve the student body and practice leadership through pro-active vigilance.
3. Encourage the leadership potentials of student volunteers.
4. Maintain Peace and order in the MS areas.


Peace Officer Duties:
1. Monitor hallways and locker times during class transitions.
2. Assist teachers during assemblies/trips.
3. Report consistent patterns of inobservances of MS rules and routines and endorse names of students who cannot cope with rules to the teachers.
4. Give assistance to teachers and staff regarding school related matters needing students' active involvement. (ex. usher/welcome guests, etc.)

Routine s:
1. Student Council officers and volunteers from each class are assigned to be officers for the day - Peace Patrol
2. Peace officers will wear the PEACE PATROL hat throughout duty times.
3. Peace officers will stand at post at designated areas in the middle school.
  • They remind students through verbal and non verbal cues. (1st offense: verbal warning, 2nd offense: written report)
  • They do not shout or assault fellow students.
  • They will report students who do not consistently follow rules and routines.
4. Peace officers are excused for about 5-7 minutes from each class until all students have settled-in in the classrooms.
5. Peace officers will have to make a daily report. These will be compiled and summarized by the student council officers.
6. Students assaulting or mocking a peace officer will be given a warning, then a detention. Continuous detention (2x) with the same offense will result to a suspension.

Training Days:
- Tuesdays during student council officers meeting with Ram
